if you find your external siren goes every time the power is removed from the alarm and you can not stop it you battery is dead follow these simple tips to replace it 
open the control panel ( if you have a small keypad the panel is the larger white box)
the alarm will sound enter your code this will silence the alarm locate the battery
Thats the battery remove it and replace it with a new one replace the alarm cover and reset the alarm panel  job done mark on the panel the date for the next replacement if you replace every five years you should have no problems or we can do the job for you

The shower switch has failed and has been burning. The only problem has been when it was installed the screws have not been tight enough causing the cables to get hot so always make sure you tighten up all electrical accessories

This method of wiring was used till about the late 1980 and can be found in many houses  before the use of three core and earth cable. As you can see the live is taken from the ground floor circuit and the neutral from the upstairs circuit this is not good practice at all so make sure you isolate both circuits when working on them
